Grand Opening of SKYE Bar – October 1st

Located at 1217 Main Street, Dallas

SKYE Bar will be featuring SKYY BLU martinis for the first 200 guests who arrive and they we will be selling them for $6 the rest of the evening.

SKYY vodka will be our featured vodka for the evening and will be $5 all night.

The DJ’s for the evening will be DJ Silver on the main floor inside and Robert Pennington on the roof top patio.

There will also be a photo spot for everyone on the 4th floor to take pictures, a balloon drop and just a crazy club night for everyone.

Autumn at the Arboretum

The Great Pumpkin Festival – Everyday from 9am – 5pm

This fall festival, which runs September 19th through November 1st, boasts of more than 150,000 fall blooming flowers including chrysanthemums, salvia, coleus, ornamental grasses and impatiens. Always a favorite spot for the family photo, The Tom Thumb Pumpkin Patch and the gardens are filled with over 25,000 decorative pumpkins and gourds. Also in the Pecan Grove is the walk-through 15′ pumpkin house constructed out of the finest pumpkins in the patch and a 10′ pumpkin topiary decorated with orange marigolds.

State Fair of Texas exhibit buildings open at 10 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. each Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (closing at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays). Midway opening times and closing times vary.

PARKING:

$10 per space used on official State Fair lots. Valet parking is $25.

Oregon Wine Dinner

On September 28th Dallas Uncorked and Sevy’s Grill team for an all Oregon dinner, featuring not only the great wine of Oregon, but also some of the fresh flavors the state is known for, like the mushrooms, blueberries, blackberries and cherries, hazelnuts, Rouge Creamery, and of course seafood.

The 4 course seated wine dinner will start at 6:30, with a champagne reception. The cost is $82 per person (inclusive of tax/tip.) Tickets available through our website, www.dallasuncorked.org.

How to start a Business

Getting Started workshop will teach attendees the basic steps for starting a business. This 1hr session is free and open to anyone who wants basic information on how to obtain a DBA, getting financing for your business, minority certification, writing a business plan.
